TAK 101 | END USER
ONLINE (ATAK-CIV)
OBJECTIVES
This online course is designed to equip end users with foundational skills when using the civilian version of Team Awareness Kit (TAK) in field environments. Participants will learn how to leverage the latest ATAK client to improve their situational awareness, communication, and collaboration skills.
In this course, we will focus on hands-on training to ensure that participants are not only familiar with ATAK’s interface and capabilities but are also proficient at employing them in support of general tasks. Scenarios of varying complexity will be introduced to lead participants to think critically and apply their skills to solve operational challenges.
Participants will become proficient at:

Installing and configuring TAK clients for optimal use.

Navigating the user interface to quickly access and utilize default features and functionalities.

Using mapping and geospatial tools to enhance real-time decision-making and navigation.

Engaging in messaging and communication to coordinate and communicate with other team members connected on the same TAK Server.

Leveraging data-sharing features to distribute information to other team members connected on the same TAK Server.
TARGET AUDIENCE
New or novice TAK end users working in defence, national security, law enforcement, or emergency response organizations.
PREREQUISITES
None.
COURSE MATERIAL
Each participant will be provided with connectivity to a TAK Server operated by H2 Analytics. Participants are responsible for bringing their own Android device.
LICENSING
$550/user (Valid for 6 months).

DURATION
Participants have up to six months from the day of enrollment to meet all course requirements.
