TAK 103 | ADMIN SERVER MANAGEMENT
OBJECTIVES
This in-person course is designed to equip IT administrators with the foundational skills to effectively install, configure, manage, maintain, and federate TAK Servers. Participants will learn how to operate TAK Servers while ensuring availability, security, and performance.
In this course, we will focus on hands-on training to ensure that participants feel confident in independently conducting common tasks associated with the general operation and management of TAK Servers. Follow-along exercises and scenarios of varying complexity will be introduced to simulate issues and challenges that IT administrators are likely to encounter and be called on to resolve.
Participants will become proficient at:

Installing, configuring, and updating TAK Servers in a cloud or on-premises environment.

Applying security protocols and settings to safeguard operational data.

Managing user accounts and permissions based on roles and responsibilities.

Ensuring the integrity and reliability of stored geospatial information and real-time tracking data.

Monitoring server health and troubleshooting common issues.

Federating TAK Servers to enable interoperability.

PREREQUISITES
Participants who are new to ATAK will receive a short video to orient them to basic ATAK functionalities from an end-user perspective.
Although not mandatory, completion of the TAK 101 | End User (ATAK-Civ) course, or equivalent training on or experience with ATAK, is recommended to enable an understanding of how IT administrators’ TAK Server workflows support end users.
COURSE MATERIAL
Each participant will be provided with:

A cloud or on-premises instance of TAK Server, as defined by preferred deployment method.

End-user device equipped with the ability to connect to the TAK Server
DURATION
Two days, including a one-hour lunch break each day.

All courses (minus online) are provided on-demand at client facility.
