TAK 104 | GEOMATICS SUPPORT
OBJECTIVES
This in-person course is designed to equip Geomatics Technicians with foundational skills and knowledge to support ATAK end users with geospatial data. Combining relevant elements of our TAK 101 (End User ATAK-Civ) and TAK 103 (Admin Server Management) courses, participants will learn how to identify key ATAK features that rely on geomatics support and leverage TAK Server to push geospatial data to end users. Participants will also learn how to leverage other tools (e.g., GeoServer) to support a networked TAK deployment.
In this course, we will focus on hands-on training to ensure that participants adopt an end user focused approach to delivering geomatics support. Scenarios of varying complexity will be introduced to lead participants to think critically and apply their skills in a context of geomatics support to TAK.
Participants will become proficient at:
-
Identifying key features in ATAK that rely on geomatics support.
-
Navigating and managing a pre-configured TAK Server.
-
Setting up and managing a GeoServer connected to a TAK Server.
-
Transferring and syncing data between TAK and other geospatial tools.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Geomatics Technicians who are new or novice to supporting TAK end users.
